Greg is excited to be at Shepherd of the Prairie as the Coordinator of Youth and Family Ministries. Greg lives in Lake in the Hills with his wonderful wife of 17 years, Jodi, and his 3 children – Zoe, Sophie, and Trevor. Greg enjoys playing and collecting guitars. You will see Greg most Sundays playing guitar in the worship band during the 10:30 service. He received his certification in Youth and Family Ministry from Wartburg Theological Seminary and has a degree in Public Communication and Human Relations from Western Illinois University.
Greg says, "I am looking forward to building our Confirmation program and taking it to new levels in order to prepare our 7th and 8th graders for their Affirmation of Baptism, and to get them ready to become adult members of our church! I am also looking forward to supporting our Sunday School program and our Sunday School leaders in whatever they need, and helping them to nurture our children with exciting and entertaining teaching methods. Our high school students can look forward to some awesome gatherings on Sundays during Sunday School and on Thursday nights. There will be concerts, retreats, lock-ins, and other fun nights. They will also be acting as God’s hands and feet as we will be looking at doing mission trips, and helping out close to home as we help out our local food pantries and others that are less fortunate and need a hand."
